About Bento Gonçalves
Bento Gonçalves is the Brazilian Capital of Wine and houses some of the most traditional and oldest national wineries. Bento Gonçalves is also the first city in Brazil to obtain the indication of origin for the wines produced in the Vale dos Vinhedos.
The city lies surrounded by mountains and valleys of the Serra Gaucha, located 113 km from Porto Alegre and receives annually more than one million visitors, making it one of the most sought-after itineraries in southern Brazil.
